Where vision turns into value, and legacy starts with learning.

Detroit Wealth Club is a nonprofit community business school committed to building economic power in Detroit through education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship. We exist to close the wealth gap and equip entrepreneurs with the tools to own, grow, and scale businesses that create real impact—from the block to the boardroom.

Our club provides a structured pathway through our seven core pillars: personal credit, business credit development, estate planning, real estate investing, homeownership, small business startup, and franchising. Whether you’re just getting started or ready to scale, Detroit Wealth Club is your launchpad for legacy.

Founded by visionary entrepreneur Ebony Cochran, the Club is headquartered in Detroit and designed to be accessible to individuals of all backgrounds who are ready to build, not borrow, the blueprint to wealth.

Commercial Property Purchase & Revitalization Plan – Ebony Cochran

On November 6, 2023, serial entrepreneur and real estate investor Ebony Cochran—widely known as The Debt Survivor and proudly raised in District 4—purchased a 7,300-square-foot commercial building in the heart of District 4 in the city of Detroit. The property includes six separate commercial units under one roof and represents a major step toward revitalizing the Morang Corridor.

The building will house Ebony’s nonprofit, The Detroit Wealth Club, which supports financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and wealth-building in underserved communities. In addition to expanding the nonprofit's reach, the remaining five units will be made available to local entrepreneurs at affordable rental rates.

Ebony’s vision goes beyond traditional leasing. She is creating retail residency opportunities—short-term brick-and-mortar experiences that allow entrepreneurs to test and grow their businesses before committing to long-term leases. This innovative model supports business development while reducing risk for emerging entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to cultivate local business growth and contribute to the revitalization of the Morang Corridor.

As a Motor City Match Cash Awardee, Ebony is leveraging her own resources and experience to meet a critical need for accessible commercial space in her home district. Her goal is to foster economic empowerment, cultivate sustainable local businesses, and serve as a catalyst for meaningful change in the community she calls home.
